  • After a perfect weekend on the sand, the Hawai’i tandem of Kaylee Glagau and Brooke Van Sickle teamed up to take their first weekly honor of the season, and the fifth career honor for the dynamic duo. 

  • The 2022 Big West Pairs Team of the Year went 5-0 on the weekend in the No. 1 flight, helping UH to the Heineken Queen's Cup title. The team performance from the BeachBows was highlighted by wins over No. 14 Washington and No. 11 California in the tournament title match. 

  • Glagau and Van Sickle captured the clinching point in the 3-2 win over Cal, overcoming a 10-6 deficit in the third set for an eventual 21-11, 17-21, 15-13 win. Glagau was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. 

  • Glagau and Van Sickle needed just two sets to take care of the top pairs from Texas, Nebraska and Oregon, with no final set score in the three matches coming closer than seven points. 

  • The All-American duo is 11-1 on the year and have won eight straight matches, guiding the team win 10 straight dual matches overall.
