  • Maddox Latta led Cal State Fullerton to a come-from-behind, two-games-to-one series victory on the road at Pepperdine to pick up a first Big West Field Player of the Week award.
  • For the week in which the Titans went 2-2 with a narrow 3-2 Tuesday home defeat against Utah, Latta batted .533 (8-for-15) with at least one hit in each contest (three multi-hit games), adding two runs, two RBI and three walks for an on-base percentage of .611.
  • In Cal State Fullerton’s doubleheader sweep over the host Waves on Sunday, Latta went 5-for-7 with two runs, one RBI and two walks.
  • A first-year transfer who spent just the 2022 season at Los Angeles Valley College after graduating in 2021 from Chaminade College Preparatory, Latta started all four games at second base and handled all 19 defensive chances cleanly with one double play.
  • Latta is Cal State Fullerton’s first weekly honoree this season, and first Titan named Big West Field Player of the Week since Jackson Lyon on April 18, 2022.
