• Long Beach State guard Marcus Tsohonis averaged 31.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in two wins to earn The Big West Player of the Week award, presented by Hercules Tires. Tsohonis is a first-time Big West weekly honoree.
• The junior compiled 17 points, five rebounds and one assist in Thursday's 72-67 win over Cal State Fullerton.
• In Saturday's 112-110 triple overtime win at UC San Diego, Tsohonis scored a program- and career-high 46 points with six rebounds and four assists. It is the biggest point total in an NCAA Division I game this season and third highest in Big West history.
• The Portland, Ore. native broke the Long Beach State school record of 45 points, shared by Ed Ratleff and Gabe Levin.
• Tsohonis logged 54 minutes, playing all but one minute, in the triple overtime thriller. The Beach had a limited roster with only eight active players against UC San Diego.
• Long Beach State is currently 10-10 on the year and 4-4 in conference play. Tsohonis is averaging 14.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game this season.
