  • Over 11 sets played with victories against No. 10 USC and a pair of wins over Concordia-Irvine, Gillis hit .544 with just two attack errors (39-2-68). The junior averaged 3.55 kills, 0.91 digs, 0.55 blocks and 3.91 points per set.

  • The San Jose native started the week with 12 kills, six digs and two block assists in a five-set win over No. 10 USC before recording 11 kills on .588 hitting(11-1-17) with an ace, two digs and two block assists in a home sweep of CUI.

  • The right side hitter ended the week with a bang, hitting .800 on a season-high 16 kills on 20 swings in the return game at Concordia.

  • The .800 mark is the best in the country this season for 20 or more attempts and tied for third best overall. Gillis’ season hitting percentage stands at .532, good for second in The Big West and fourth nationally.
