  • Tori Harris twice scored 20-plus points to guide Long Beach State to a perfect 2-0 start to its conference slate with a pair of double-digit road victories, earning the sixth-year senior guard a first Big West Player of the Week award.
  • Harris averaged 21.5 points, 32.0 minutes and 5.5 rebounds per game over the two starts while shooting .625 (15-24) from the field, .600 (6-10) from three-point territory and .778 (7-9) at the free throw line.
  • Harris first poured in a then-career-best 21 points in Thursday night’s 66-52 come-from-behind triumph at UC San Diego, going 8-of-13 from the floor, including 4-of-7 from long range, and 1-of-2 at the stripe. Harris added seven boards (share of game high), three assists and a block to match season highs, with one steal against a single turnover.
  • In Saturday’s 73-62 win at UC Riverside, Harris did that career high one better with a game-best 22 points, shooting 7-of-11 from the field with two more made triples alongside four rebounds, three assists, another block, no turnovers, and three steals to equal a season high.
  • The product of Dix Hills, N.Y., who previously spent two seasons at James Madison and the past three at St. Bonaventure, has appeared in all 12 games for LBSU (7-5, 2-0 Big West), drawing eight starts, and scored in double figures in all but one contest. Harris leads the team and is tied for fifth in the conference at 13.4 points per game.
  • Harris is the second Beach women’s basketball student-athlete to pick up weekly Big West honors this season, and second in three weeks after teammate Kristyna Jeskeova on Dec. 19.
