  • First-time Big West Player of the Week Kristyna Jeskeova averaged a double-double of 15.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game as Long Beach State (5-4) split the two matchups of its own Beach Classic inside the Walter Pyramid over the weekend.
  • The fourth-year junior guard shot .517 (12-21) from the field and totaled 31 points, 25 boards, six steals, three blocks and two assists, posting double-doubles on both afternoons. Jeskeova connected on a pair of triples on seven tries and made all five free throws.
  • Jeskeova first provided 10 points and a season- and game-best 15 rebounds in Friday’s 69-55 triumph over Dartmouth, adding game highs while matching collegiate bests of six steals and two blocks.
  • The Czech Republic native poured in a career- and game-high 21 points on Saturday in a narrow 56-50 loss against Southern Miss, while also grabbing 10 boards, dishing out two assists and blocking one shot.
  • Jeskeova was named to the Beach Classic All-Tournament Team as a result of the weekend’s efforts. This is LBSU’s first Big West weekly honor since Maddi Utti earned a third such award on Feb. 17, 2022.
