During Friday’s five-set thriller at runner-up UC Santa Barbara that wrapped up UH’s automatic NCAA Championship berth, the sophomore tied a season best with 55 assists (.466 set percentage) while the Rainbow Wahine hit .318 (76-21-173) as a team. Lang posted an eighth double-double for 2022 with 17 digs, and added a career-high six kills at a .385 (6-1-13) clip, two aces and two block assists for 9.0 total points.

Splitting setting duties Saturday night in a four-set victory at CSUN, Lang collected 34 set assists, six digs, three kills without an error on five attacks (.600), two more block assists and an ace for 5.0 points.

This is Lang’s third Big West Setter of the Week award, all for 2022, with prior ones on Sept. 26 and Nov. 7. The product of Keller, Texas, was also a two-time Big West Freshman of the Week a season ago, back to back on Sept. 27 and Oct. 4.
