Maia Dvoracek put together a couple of double-double performances to lead Cal Poly to two road victories en route to a second Big West Offensive Player of the Week honor this season. The sixth-year senior opposite averaged 4.38 kills and 3.25 digs per set while hitting at a .301 (35-10-83) clip and serving eight more aces as The Big West leader (57).

In Thursday night’s five-setter over host UC Davis, Dvoracek provided a season- and match-high 22 kills (season-high 58 swings) to go along with 14 digs, four aces and two blocks.

Saturday’s sweep at UC Riverside saw the Truckee product add 13 kills on .480 (13-1-25) hitting, 12 digs, four aces, one assist and a block. Dvoracek now has double-doubles in five consecutive matches, and is eighth nationally in aces (0.59 per set).

With the weekend sweep, Cal Poly took over sole possession of third place ahead of Long Beach State, now at 15-11 overall and 12-4 in The Big West.

Dvoracek is a seven-time Big West Offensive Player of the Week, with five prior awards during the 2019 season, and one earlier this year on Sept. 19.
