  • Shira Lahav collected 32 total digs as UC Davis split a pair of matches, garnering a fourth career Big West Defensive Player of the Week distinction. 

  • The junior libero finished with a match-high 19 digs, four assists and an ace in a four-set, come-from-behind triumph at UC Riverside on Tuesday night. Lahav then added 13 more digs and four assists in Saturday’s five-set loss to first-place Hawai’i. 

  • Lahav has appeared in all 22 matches this year for UC Davis, ranking fifth in The Big West in digs (336) and digs per set (3.86). The native of Bat Hefer, Israel, has 18 efforts in double-figure digs, including a season-best current string of seven in a row. Earlier this month, Lahav eclipsed the 1,000-dig plateau. 

  • Lahav was previously The Big West Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 23, 2019, Sept. 6, 2021, and Oct. 3 of this season.
