  • CSU Bakersfield libero Paige Calvin anchored her side to back-to-back sweeps from the back row at home inside the Icardo Center this past weekend. She averaged 4.67 digs per set, while also contributing 10 assists and seven aces.
  • The fifth-year senior and second-year transfer from Sacramento State led all players on Friday night against UC Davis with 15 digs and a season-high four aces, to go along with six assists. Calvin then added team bests of 13 digs and three aces, with four more assists, the next night versus UC Riverside. The ‘Runners have won two straight matches for the first time in 2022.
  • Calvin has appeared in all 18 matches for CSU Bakersfield, and reached double-figure digs in 14 of them. She also leads the team with 23 aces.
  • Calvin is CSU Bakersfield’s first women’s volleyball weekly honoree of any kind this season, but is now a two-time Big West Defensive Player of the Week for her career, having been so named on Nov. 1, 2021. She is the only Roadrunner with Big West weekly distinction as the program is in its second season as a league member.
