  • CSUN forward Cindy Arteaga netted four goals in three games this week to claim Big West Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors. This is Arteaga’s first career weekly distinction. 

  • Arteaga hit a penalty kick on Monday in the 90th minute in a 2-1 loss to UC Irvine in non-conference competition.  

  • At CSU Bakersfield, Arteaga found the corner of the net in the 11th minute from 18 yards out to record CSUN’s lone goal in their Big West opener. 

  • The Santa Rosa, Calif., native notched the brace in a 2-0 win over Portland State on Sunday to round out the week with eight points. The brace is the first for a Matador since 2019 

  • Arteaga currently leads the Big West in shots (38) and shots on goal (18) and is tied for 2nd in goals (6).
