  • Gleed led the ‘Eaters in both hits and RBI for the week, with three doubles, his first collegiate home run in Tuesday’s non-conference home win over Cal State Fullerton, three hit-by-pitches, and just one strikeout. He had at least one hit, one run and one RBI in all four contests.
  • Gleed drove in a season-high four of UCI’s six runs against the Titans, and now paces the team in that category. He lifted his batting average up over .300 for the first time, from .254 heading in, to .310.
  • Gleed played at third base, first base and second base throughout the course of the week, and handled all seven defensive chances cleanly.
  • Gleed is a first-time Big West Field Player of the Week, and the first ‘Eater baseball student-athlete to be recognized in 2022. UC Irvine (19-11, 8-4 Big West) began and ended the weekend in fourth place.
