Kaylee Glagau Award Pairs Team of the Week Week Of 3/28/2022 Sport Beach Volleyball School Hawai'i Year Sophomore Position Hometown Mississauga, Canada High School Streetsville Secondary Brooke Van Sickle and Kaylee Glagau were a perfect 6-0 without dropping a single set on the No. 1 court as No. 9 Hawai’i finished 5-1 at the Big West Challenge on Rosie’s Dog Beach in Long Beach, and Van Sickle and Glagau were honored as both Big West and AVCA Pairs Team of the Week for their efforts. Hawai'i moved to 15-6 on the year. The Rainbow Wahine lost only to UC Davis (3-2) to begin their involvement on Friday morning, before blanking both CSUN and Sacramento State 5-0, and topping CSU Bakersfield (4-1), Long Beach State (3-2) and Cal Poly (3-2). The tandem claimed victories over No. 12 Cal Poly and 15th-ranked host Long Beach State. Van Sickle and Glagau were responsible for the clinching point in Saturday's come-from-behind triumph over the Mustangs, edging last week’s Big West honorees Tia Miric and Ella Connor, 23-21, 21-16. Their scores earlier Saturday against the Beach’s Skyler Germann and Alice Pratesi were 21-12, 21-17. Van Sickle and Glagau have won eight consecutive matches, all in straight sets, and are 15-5 together this season. This is Van Sickle’s third career weekly distinction and Glagau’s second, with the duo also teaming up for the award back on March 7.
