It is Tayman's second career weekly honor from the conference, having won it once earlier this season. The Mustang junior started the week with a three-hit night, including four runs scored, in a 15-10 road win at Fresno State on Tuesday. Tayman hit a home run, drew two walks and scored two runs in Cal Poly's 11-3 series-opening victory against Long Beach State, Friday night. The Arroyo Grande, Calif. product had 3-for-4 performance with one run scored and one RBI in a 6-2 win in Saturday's game two versus the Dirtbags. In an 8-3 triumph over Long Beach State in the final game of the regular season on Sunday, the Mustang catcher recorded two hits, one RBI and one run. With a sweep of the Dirtbags, Cal Poly earned a share of the Big West regular-season title with a 22-8 conference mark and went 33-21 overall. Tayman enters the postseason hitting .351 with 16 home runs, 53 RBI and 48 runs.
