High School Crespi Carmelite HS Hawai'i starting pitcher Isaiah Magdaleno threw a complete game shutout to earn The Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week award. It is Magdaleno's second career weekly honor, having won it once earlier this season. The right-handed starter threw 9.0 innings allowing no runs, one hits and one walk, while collecting 16 strikeouts, as the Roadrunners defeated UC Riverside 1-0 on Friday. The Los Angeles, Calif. product had a perfect game going through 6.1 innings before a full-count walk ended it and a no-hitter through one out in the ninth inning before being broken up on an infield single. Hawai'i is 24-19 overall and is currently tied for fourth in the league standings with a 13-11 league record. Magdaleno is 5-4 with a 2.75 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 72.0 innings of work on the mound this season.
