High School Monrovia HS UC Santa Barbara's Maddie Conte won the 100m hurdles and was runner-up in the 400m hurdles at the UCSB Invitational to take home the Big West Women's Track Athlete of the Week recognition. It is Conte's second career weekly honor, having won it once last season. The Gaucho senior wom the 100m hurdles race in a personal-best time of 13.51. The mark ranks No. 2 all-time in program history and sits third in The Big West rankings. Conte followed with a runner-up finish in the 400m hurdles competition (1:00.23).
