High School Monta Vista HS UC San Diego's Sylvana Northrop broke school records in two events to take home the Big West Women's Track Athlete of the Week recognition. It is Northrop's second career track weekly honor, having won it once in 2025. Northrop shattered two school records, clocking an impressive 4:20.07 in the 1500 meters before turning in a remarkable 15:45.18 in the 5000 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Both times rank first in The Big West.
