High School Rancho Cucamonga HS Long Beach State's Tristyn Flores won the 200m race at the Challenge Cup meet to earn The Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week award. It is Flores' second career weekly honor, having won it once last year. The Beach senior clocked a seasonal-best time of 20.73 to win the half-lap race. That mark currently ranks No. 1 in the Big West, No. 22 in the NCAA West Region, and No. 44 nationally. Flores also contributed to a victorious 4x100m relay team (40.51). Long Beach State took home the Challenge Cup team trophy with 166 points.
