This is a second such award, also earning distinction on March 2. Gajek carried the offensive load with 38 kills, or 4.75 per et, on .375 hitting across eight sets of action, accounting for a significant share of LBSU’s 98 total kills in a pair of matches against Hawai’i. The opposite hitter produced match-high performances in both contests, including 22 kills on .381 hitting with eight digs and two aces in Friday’s five-setter. Saturday, the native of Katowice, Poland contributed a 16-kill effort on .367 hitting with five digs and three blocks for the Beach. Gajek currently serves up 0.479 aces per set to rank fourth in The Big West and 12th in the country.
