True freshman Matthew Lim established himself as a force for UC San Diego, leading the team to a pair of three-set wins at home.

He posted a .512 hitting percentage with a team-high of 4.75 points and 4.33 kills per set on the weekend. The San Diego native also averaged 1.67 digs and 0.5 blocks on the weekend.

Friday against UC Santa Cruz, Lim finished with 11 kills on .500 hitting, along with contributing three blocks, two digs and an ace in the Tritons’ victory.

On Saturday against Concordia-Irvine, he led all players with a career-high 15 kills on .524 hitting. He also added a career-best eight digs in the sweep.
