  • Logan Lyght of UC Irvine won the 110m hurdles at the Beach Opener to claim Big West Men's Track Athlete of the Week. It is Lyght's first career weekly honor. 

  • The junior won the 110m hurdles race in a wind-legal personal-record 13.96 at the Beach Opener, ranking fifth in school history. 

  • Lyght also competed in the 200m, crossing the finish line in 21.32 seconds for a top-eight overall finish.

  • The Orange, Calif. leads the nation in both events (wind-legal times only) through the first week of the season.
