  • UC Davis junior Yana Gurevich continued her stellar 2022 season, winning all three singles matches on the week and her lone doubles match as the team went 2-1.  

  • Gurevich opened the weekend with a win over Chiho Mushika of USF in straight sets at No. 2 singles. Playing with partner Arianna Stavropoulos, the duo took down Maria Martinez Vaquero and Rita Colyer 6-0 on Court 1. 

  • Playing No. 1 singles against Holy Names, she downed Lada Baglaeva 6-0, 6-0 as the Aggies claimed a 7-0 victory. Gurevich capped off the weekend back on Court 2 in the back half of the Saturday doubleheader. She posted a 1-6, 7-6, 6-3 win over Jenna Marie Gordon to lead the Aggies to the 5-2 victory over Santa Clara.  

  • This is Gurevich’s second career Big West weekly honor, also earning distinction March 31, 2021.
