It is Sakagawa's second career weekly honor from the conference, having won it once earlier this season. On Saturday, Sakagawa teamed up with Ruining Huang to clinch the doubles point against Saint Mary's with a 6-3 triumph on court three. In No. 1 singles, the Chiba, Japan native defeated Finn Dyer in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4. UC Irvine defeated Saint Mary's in the team battle, 4-3. Sakagawa downed San Diego State's Aleksi Lofman in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 in No. 1 singles on Sunday. The Anteaters defeated the Aztecs in the team scoring, 4-3. On the year, Sakagawa is 4-1 in singles, all at the No. 1 spot.
