Hawai’i sophomore opposite hitter Dimitrios Mouchlias led the Rainbow Warriors’ offensive attack averaging 4.63 kills per set on .469 hitting in three wins at the First Point Collegiate Challenge in Austin, Texas, to claim his first career Big West weekly honor.

Hailing from Soufli, Greece, Mouchlias opened the week with a career-high 21 kills with no errors in 39 attempts in a five-set loss at Ball State. He also added 10 digs, two aces and three blocks in the setback for the Rainbow Warriors.

He opened the First Point Collegiate Challenge with a pair of errorless matches against Fairleigh Dickinson (8-0-12) and Queens (11-0-14) playing in two sets in each match. Mouchlias finished out the tournament with a match-high 18 kills and five blocks in a four-set victory over No. 14 Stanford.
