High School St. Anthony's HS UC Davis guard Ryann Bennett logged 21.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest, while shooting 51.6 percent from the floor, in two wins to earn The Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week award. It is the first career weekly honor for Bennett. The sophomore scored 21 points, on 8-of-14 shooting, with two rebounds in a 72-35 season- and home-opening win against Jessup, Monday. On Friday, the Long Beach, Calif. native finished with another 21 point-performance, to go along with four rebounds, six assists, two steals, two blocks and no turnovers as the Aggies claimed an 89-76 home victory over Idaho. UC Davis is 2-0 to start the 2025 season.
