High School Monta Vista HS UC San Diego’s Sylvana Northrop placed fourth at the Texas A&M Invitational to earn The Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor. It is Northrop’s second career weekly honor in cross country, having won it once last season. The redshirt senior completed the 5K race at Watts Cross Country Course in 17:08.4 for fourth place out of 142 finishers. As a team, the Tritons finished third out of 14 teams with 73 points.
