  • UC Davis starting pitcher Bryan Green tossed eight innings of shutout ball against UC Santa Barbara to earn The Big West Baseball Pitcher of the Week award. It is Green's first career weekly honor from the league.
     
  • In the opening game of the weekend series against the Gauchos on Friday, the lefty threw a career-high 8.0 innings, giving up five hits and three walks with six strikeouts as the Aggies prevailed 1-0. 
     
  • The win was significant for the UC Davis program as it snapped a 17-game losing streak to UCSB.
     
  • The Aggies are 14-15 overall and 4-8 in conference play. Green has a 2.45 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 40.1 innings of work this season.
