Louis Sakanoko Award Offensive Player of the Week Week Of 3/31/2025 Sport Men's Volleyball School Hawai'i Year Sophomore Position Outside Hitter/Opposite Hometown Paris, France High School Francoise Combes HS After helping Hawai’i to a two-match series sweep of UC San Diego, sophomore Louis Sakanoko has been named Big West Offensive Player of the Week. This is Sakanoko’s first weekly award of the season, and fifth overall after picking up freshman honors four times in 2024. The outside hitter averaged 4.00 kills and 4.64 points in the pair of home matches, hitting .412 in the series (28-7-51) to go along with 1.71 digs per set. In Friday’s opener, Sakanoko compiled 13 kills on .409 hitting with seven digs and an ace in the sweep. In the rematch on Saturday, the native of Paris, France, recorded a team-best and season-high 15 kills, hitting .414 with five digs, four blocks, and an ace. Sakanoko was the only UH player with double-digit kills in both matches over the weekend.
