  • After two sweeping wins on the Atlantic seaboard, UC Irvine’s Hilir Henno has been named Big West Offensive Player of the Week for March 24. This is the fourth weekly honor of the season, and an 11th career nod as the offensive winner. 

  • The senior outside hitter averaged 4.33 kills, 6.33 points, 1.67 aces and 1.83 digs in a pair of 3-0 matches at Daemen and George Mason.  

  • In Friday’s match against Daemen, Henno finished with 12 kills while hitting .733 (12-1-15) along with four aces, four digs and three total blocks.  

  • In Saturday’s  contest against George Mason, the product of Pornichet, France led all players with 14 kills, hitting .409 and firing a season-best six aces with a match-high seven digs.  

  • After the weekend, Henno is up to second in the nation in points average (5.36), fourth in kills (4.30) and second in aces (0.770). With 228 career aces, Henno is 19 strikes away from the national collegiate record of 247 held by Javier Placer of Springfield (1993-96).
