High School Monta Vista HS UC San Diego's Sylvana Northrop broke a school record in the 5000m at the Ben Brown Invitational to claim The Big West Women's Track of the Week award. It is Northrop's first career weekly honor from the conference in track & field. The senior covered 5000m in 16:34.78, besting the previous mark by over 20 seconds, and placed third overall.
