The setter from Tonsburg, Norway tallied 72 total assists, or 10.29 per set, and led Hawai’i to a team hitting percentage of .367 in the two matches.

Thelle added a career-high six aces and tied a career high with four blocks in the season opener. He finished with 10 digs, nine aces, five blocks and five kills on the weekend.

He was also named AVCA Division I-II National Player of the Week for his efforts. This is Thelle’s first career Big West weekly award.
