Long Beach State graduate transfer Rachel Loobie averaged a double-double in a two-win week to earn a first career nod as Big West Player of the Week.

At Cal State Bakersfield, Loobie put up 15 points and 10 rebounds while adding three assists and three blocks in the 82-70 victory.

The forward followed that with a career-high performance on the glass, grabbing 18 rebounds while scoring eight points with four blocks and four assists in a 73-52 Senior Day victory over UC Irvine in the latest installment of the Black & Blue Rivalry. The 18 boards, including eight of the offensive variety, is the most by a Big West player this season.

Loobie and the Beach head into the final weekend of the regular season with matchups against UC San Diego and Cal Poly. LBSU has already secured a berth to the 2025 Hercules Tires Big West Women’s Basketball Championship, presented by Credit Union 1 and could rise as high as a tie for second in the standings as all eight seeds in the bracket are still up for grabs.
