It is Tait-Jones' third career weekly honor, having won it once earlier this year (Jan. 27) and once last season. The Triton senior shot 46.9 percent (15-of-32) from the field, 44.4 percent (4-of-9) from behind the arc and 84.2 percent (16-of-19) from the charity stripe. Tait-Jones scored 28 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including two 3-pointers and eight made free throws, with seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in a 91-71 home victory over UC Riverside, Thursday night. On Saturday in a nationally-televised game at UC Irvine, the New Zealand native put away 25 points with eight rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one block, in a 85-67 road triumph. The Tritons are currently 20-4 overall with a 10-2 conference mark. Tait-Jones is averaging a league second-best 20.0 points per game and is the national leader in free throws made (169) and attempts (209).
