Brynne Nally Award Freshman of the Week Week Of 2/10/2025 Sport Softball School Long Beach State Year Freshman Position Hometown Garden Grove, Calif. High School Pacifica HS Long Beach State freshman pitcher Brynne Nally went 2-0 in 11.2 innings of work to earn The Big West Freshman of the Week award. It is the first weekly distinction of Nally's collegiate career. In the rookie's collegiate debut on Friday against Seattle U, Nally got the start and tossed 6.0 innings, giving up one earned run and striking out two in a 7-6 win for the Beach. The Garden Grove, Calif. native tossed 2.2 shutout innings in relief and struckout four batters against second-ranked and four-time defending national champion Oklahoma.
