It is Leuchten’s second career weekly honor, having won it once during the 2022-23 season. The senior forward shot 11-for-22 from the field and 17-for-22 from the charity stripe in the two victories. Leuchten posted a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds, with three assists, one steal and two blocks in a 77-67 triumph at CSUN, Thursday night. In Saturday’s nationally televised game at UC San Diego, the Anteater center went for 23 points, 12 boards and two blocks in a 60-52 win. Leuchten took control of the game in the second half scoring 15 points and grabbing seven rebounds. The Antaeters are currently on a five-game win streak for a 15-2 overall record and 5-0 conference mark. Leuchten is averaging 15.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game this season with seven double-doubles.
