  • UC Irvine forward Collin Welp led the Anteaters to a 69-64 win at Santa Clara to earn his second career Big West Player of the Week award. He previously earned the conference's weekly honor on Dec. 29 during the 2020-21 season. 

  • Welp recorded a double-double on the road at Santa Clara, compiling 17 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. He shot 63 percent (5-of-8) from the floor, 50 percent (1-of-2) from behind the arc and 75 percent (6-of-8) from the charity stripe.
