Ayala HS Cal State Bakersfield’s Learden Lee was a key cog in a pair of road wins to earn a first career nod as Big West Freshman of the Week. Lee, a middle blocker from Chino, Calif., hit .400 for the week whole averaging 2.25 kills per set in Roadrunners’ wins at Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine. Lee recorded nine kills in both matches while adding two blocks and two digs on Saturday against the Anteaters. The previous night, Lee hit a season-best .667 with just one error on 12 swings, resulting in nine kills.
