High School Centennial HS Hawai’i outside hitter Caylen Alexander of the Rainbow Wahine put away 61 kills, averaging 4.69 per set, over three matches on the road to remain among the nation’s leaders and go back-to-back for Big West Offensive Player of the Week. The junior opened the road trip with 23 kills against UNLV and put away a match-high 20 in a four-set loss to then-No. 8 Texas, giving her three consecutive matches with at least 20 kills. In Saturday’s match at No. 20 Baylor, Alexander hit .302 with 18 kills over four sets at Baylor. Alexander also served up a team-high five aces over the week and had 23 digs with double-double performances against UNLV and Baylor. The Alpharetta, Ga., native continues to lead The Big West with 229 total kills (4.98 per set) and 253.5 points (5.51 per set). The kills average ranks fourth in NCAA Division I with the points average is sixth.
