High School Laguna Beach After helping UC Santa Barbara to a pair of wins over Power 4 competition, Eva Travis has been named Big West Freshman of the Week, a first career honor. Travis earned MVP honors at the K-State Invitational after averaging 4.33 kills and 5.17 points per set in sweeps of Kansas State and Oklahoma. Against the Wildcats, the redshirt freshman outside hitter contributed a double-double with 13 kills and 13 digs. In the sweep of the Sooners, the Aliso, Viejo, Calif., native secured 13 kills complemented by three service aces for the Gauchos.
