High School Marina HS Marikay Schwab won the Pepperdine Waves Invitational, Friday, to claim The Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week award. It is Schwab's first career weekly honor. The senior ran a time of 13:04.0 on the 4k course, two seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Schwab's win was the first individual victory by an LBSU women's runner in two seasons.
