Sophomore middle blocker Amber Igiede led the Hawai’i defense at the net recording 12 total blocks in a pair of road victories. Igiede and the Rainbow Wahine out-blocked its opponents 22.0-to-11.0.

At Cal State Fullerton, Igiede posted six total blocks with a season-high three solo blocks. She also had eight digs to go along with five kills and two assists.

At Long Beach State, she was in on six blocks for the second-straight match to go with 11 kills and six digs. The Baton Rouge, La., native hit a career-high .786 with no errors on 14 swings (11-0-14).

Igiede has denied at least one attempt at the net in all 22 Hawai’i matches this season and leads the Rainbow Wahine with 90 total blocks, and a .366 hitting percentage. Her 1.23 blocks per set is tops on her team and good for third in The Big West.
