  • Cal Poly catcher Ryan Stafford slashed .619/.652/1.000 with five RBI and seven runs over four games to earn The Big West Field Player of the Week honor. The Mustangs went 3-1 during the stretch. It is the first career weekly award for Stafford, having won it once in 2022 (May 9).

  • The junior started the week with a 5-for-6 performance with two home runs, a double, four RBI and two runs in a 13-8 road win at Fresno State on Tuesday. 

  • Stafford hit 3-for-5 with a run in Cal Poly's 10-5 series-opening victory at UC Irvine on Friday. 

  • The Mustang catcher went 3-for-5 with two runs in game two of the series on Saturday. 

  • The Folsom, Calif. native hit 2-for-5 with one RBI and two runs as Cal Poly took the series from the Anteaters with a 11-2 triumph in the rubber match on Sunday. 

  • Cal Poly is 17-7 overall with a 17-7 conference record. Stafford currently has a team-high .395 batting average with six home runs, 41 RBI and 43 runs.
