  • UC Irvines Kailah McKenzie won the high jump competition at the Steve Scott Invitational to claim the Women's Field Athlete of the Week award. It is McKenzie's first career weekly honor.

  • The freshman cleared a personal-best height of 1.77m/5'9.75". The mark ranks first in The Big West, third in school history, 26th in the region and 47th in the nation. 

  • McKenzie also competed in the long jump, finishing fourth with a 6.03m/19'9.5" effort. The mark ranks second in The Big West and 69th in the region.
