  • UC Santa Barbara starting pitcher Ryan Gallagher threw a complete game shutout against UC Davis to claim The Big West Pitcher of the Week award. It is the Gallagher's first career weekly honor. 

  • In an eventual 3-0 team victory in the series opener, the righty scattered two hits, both singles, without walking a batter and collected seven strikeouts over nine innings. Gallagher did not allow a hit over his final five frames of action. It was the first complete game shutout by a Gaucho since 2021. 

  • The win ignited UC Santa Barbara to a series sweep over the Aggies. The Gauchos won the final two games of the series by scores of 6-1 and 4-1, respectively. 

  • UC Santa Barbara is 25-10 overall and 11-4 in conference play. Gallagher is 4-1 with a 2.49 ERA and has 54 strikeouts in 47.0 innings pitched this season.
