  • Brock Kleszcz slashed .385/.429/1.000 with eight RBI and four runs scored to lead UC San Diego to a 3-1 record to earn The Big West Field Player of the Week honor. It is the first career weekly award for Kleszcz.

  • The senior started the week with a 2-for-2 performance, inclduing two RBI and a run scored in a 20-2 rout of UC Riverside on Monday. The win secured a series sweep of the Highlanders for the Tritons. 

  • Kleszcz went 2-for-3, hitting a pair of two-run home runs, for four RBI and two runs scored in a 5-1 road win in the series opener at Long Beach State on Friday. 

  • The Valencia, Calif. product collected two RBI and scored a run in Sunday's 6-3 victory that secured the series over the Dirtbags for the Tritons. 

  • UC San Diego is 21-8 overall and 8-4 in conference play. Kleszcz has compiled 17 RBI and eight runs scored this season.
