  • UC Riverside's Saniya Starks ran a personal-best time in the 400m to earn the Women's Track Athlete of the Week honor. It is the second career weekly honor for Starks, having won it once last season (April 25). 

  • The junior clocked a time of 54.08 in the 400m at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational for a fourth place finish. 

  • It is currently the fastest time in the conference, 15th in the West Region and No. 3 all-time in Highlander program history.   

  • Starks was also a member of the 4x400m relay team that took first with a 3:52.62 performance.
