UC Irvine's Jo Oyama slashed .455/.519 /.955 with nine runs and 10 RBI in five games to earn The Big West Field Player of the Week honor. It is the first career weekly honor for Oyama. It is the third time this season that an Anteater has won the Field Player of the Week after Thomas McCaffrey (Feb. 19) and Caden Kendle (March 4) were bestowed the honor.

The Anteater infielder hit for the cycle on Friday in a 32-2 triumph against Columbia. It was the first UCI cycle since 1981. Oyama went 5-for-7 with four runs and nine RBI.

Oyama finished the weekend scoring three runs in a 25-7 win over Columbia on Saturday.
