Down 26-18 at halftime, the Cal State Fullerton Titans rallied in the second half to defeat the Cal State Northridge Matadors, 59-55 on Saturday, February 2.  Fullerton junior guard Daviyonne Weathersby spearheaded the comeback with her first career double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, while also chipping in 6 assists and 5 steals.  Find out what she thought of her game, the comeback, and the Titans’ upcoming week in her exclusive interview on BigWest.TV.   Also available are a post-game interview with Fullerton head coach Dr. Maryalyce Jeremiah, and the Northridge post-game show with head coach Staci Schulz and host Sam Farber.

 

After a rocky start in conference play, Fullerton has won five straight to move into a three-way tie for third in the Big West Conference, along with Cal Poly and UC Davis.  Northridge, led by senior Katie Holloway’s 18 points and 10 rebounds, remains winless on the season.  Both teams return to action on Thursday, February 7 when Fullerton hosts league-leading UC Santa Barbara, who beat the Titans 59-58 in overtime on January 12, while Northridge returns home to face Pacific.  Both games will be available on BigWest.TV beginning at 7:00 p.m. PST.
